Services

Urology of Yao's municipal hospital treats almost all urological disorders : urological cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder, etc.), prostatic hyperplasia, urolithiasis, urinary tract infections, pediatric urology (cryptorchidism, vesicoureteral reflux, etc.), gynecology related diseases (urinary incontinence, bladder prolapse, etc.). We use a combination of surgical therapy, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, etc. to perform multidisciplinary treatment, especially focusing on urological cancers.

Treatment

  • Bladder cancer
With respect to bladder cancer, we try to preserve patient bladders as long as possible, and if we remove the bladder we create a bladder using the small intestine allowing the patient to urinate naturally from his urethra.

  • Prostate cancer
With respect to prostate cancer, we perform independently or in combination surgery, endocrine therapy, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, according to age and cancer progression.

  • Kidney cancer
With respect to kidney cancer, we mainly perform surgery but principally Laparoscopic nephrectomy, which is minimally invasive and requires only short term hospitalization
Depending on cancer progression, we use also immunotherapy and radiotherapy.

  • Surgery
We perform Laparoscopic surgery of kidneys, adrenal glands, and varicocele.
Recently, female incontinence has become a societal issue. To treat stress urinary incontinence and patients for whom pelvic floor exercises and pharmacotherapy are ineffective, we recommend urinary incontinence surgery (TVT surgery) which only requires local anesthesia and short term hospitalization, with good results.

  • Removing calculi.
We installed an extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy device (Lithotriptor D, manufactured by Dornier in Germany) to treat renal and ureteral calculi.
It enables us to treat patients without anesthesia and incision to remove renal and ureteral calculi.
In combination with the conventional treatment including transurethral ureterolithotomy utilizing pneumatic lithotrite and percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, all urinary calculi can be treated without incision.
