Yao municipal hospital is a facility accredited by the Japanese Society of gastroenterology, the Japan Society of Hepatology and Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society.

・We proactively provide antiviral therapy for hepatitis C and hepatitis B. ( treatment by an oral antiviral drug )

the treatment by a therapy specialist is essential to make good on a prognosis of Hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver. Please contact us for inquiries on patients who find abnormal liver function by blood test.

・Early detection and qualitative diagnosis are highly significant to make good on a prognosis of liver cancer developed by chronic liver diseases.

Combining high-performance CT/MRI with contrast abdominal ultrasonography conducted by Society of Ultrasonics certified sonographer, we work on early detection of liver cancer and accurate qualitative diagnosis.

・In the treatment of liver cancer, the choice of appropriate treatments for individual cases are highly significant. 

Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Radiology, and Gastroenterological Surgery, and work on improving prognosis of liver cancer by properly combining the treatment options such as ultrasonic therapy, intracatheter treatment, abdominal operation or anticancer treatment.

・We have introduced radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for over 10 years, which is one of the treatment options for liver cancer and many patients have already been treated.

・The number of introduced patients of biliary tract neoplasm and pancreatic tumor has increased. Therefore, we work more actively than before, on treatments for gallbadder and pancrea diseases cooperating with the staff of Surgery and Radiology.

・As for the treatment of endoscopic therapy for early gastric cancer, we have provided submucosal dissection (ESD) for over 10 years, which is more advanced than mucosal resection (EMR). In addition, we introduced submucosal dissection (ESD) as endoscopic therapy for early colorectal cancer. ESD makes it possible to cure early gastric cancer and early colorectal cancer without an abdominal operation.

・There are many cases of diseases relevant to gastrointestinal medicine in emergency medical care, we treat emergency diseases such as biliary colic, acute pancreatitis and gastrointestinal hemorrhage.

・We make good use of ultrasonic endoscope which is effective for treatments and puncture test for stomach and pancreatic tumor, and enteroscopy which is effective for careful treatment for tumor and hemorrhage of small intestine.

・Endoscope system using NBI (Narrow Brand Imaging) is extremely useful for the diagnoses of esophageal and gastric cancer. We also work harder on treatment for digestive tract cancer.
